Wood claims doubles gold in All Stars competition

Wood teamed up with fellow Sussex talent Luke Davies to come out on top in their age category.
Coming into the competition, Wood and his partner Davies were unseeded with very little expectation placed on them.

Hide AdHowever, good performances in the box round saw them see off number two seeds as they progressed to the knockout stages.
A win in the last four, saw them book a final spot with the number one seeds.
Despite going in as underdogs, Wood and Davies defied the odds to be crowned under-17 age group doubles winners.
Wood wasn’t finished there, though, and continued his fine form into the singles competition.
Some fine performances saw him reach the final.

Hide AdDespite his best efforts, Wood could not seal a memorable double losing out 21-18 in the final.
