RYAN'S ROCKETS FIRE LANCING
"I've seen enough football not to drool about many goals I see but the first was a drive, two feet off the ground, hit on the run from 25 yards, and the second was a free kick from 30 yards hit into the top corner after Dan Cronin stepped over the ball."
Oak led 1-0 and 3-2, Lancing 2-1, and neither of the first two leads lasted long. It was 2-2, then Mile Oak went ahead in the first period of extra-time and Lancing replied with seven minutes to go. Ford's goals were Lancing's first and last, with Ian Wood putting them ahead in the 71st minute when he diverted Dan Cronin's low, whipped-in free kick past a stranded goalkeeper.
