Then and now: Worthing’s Warwick Road
Nicola, who lives in the road, said: “Today (August 7) the road was resurfaced here in Warwick Road.
“Not a particularly exciting event for a photo opportunity you may think, but after the work had finished I decided to take photos of the street before all the cars and traffic returned and the lines reinstated.

Hide Ad“It struck me that, apart from the wheelie bins and scaffolding, not much had changed since another view of the street in the 1910s.
“I have to say that the time between the workmen finishing the resurfacing and the road reopening it was wonderful to enjoy the peace, rather than the daily rat run of people trying to take a short cut to avoid the Steyne Gardens traffic jams.”
