NO BLAME ON BLAYNE!
In only his third match in an English league, Cornford picked the ball to hit and 15 of them went for four and another one for six. His fifty came off 68 balls in 85 minutes after Worthing had lost their first three wickets for 25 runs.
Former Worthing skipper Tim Dunn, back after a season out and a brief warm-up in the 2nd XI, joined Cornford in a reparation stand of 109 with 31. Then young players Alex Harris (29) and David Rogers (15 not out) put on 45 for the sixth wicket after Cornford departed, having made 91 out of Worthing's first 134 runs.
