Lewis throws a personal best to land gold medal
Edwards, who was appearing in the event for the first time, was crowned champion after he threw a spectacular distance of 22.50 metres.
The 16-year-old beat his previous best by nearly half a metre and he was delighted with his success.
He said: “I am really, really happy.

Edwards is no stranger to Stoke Mandeville as he took part in the WheelPower’s National Junior Games with The Angmering School last year.
He added: “Stoke Mandeville is everything to me, it was the start of my sporting career.
“It’s where I started throwing and I have tried a lot of different sports here and always really enjoyed it, it means a lot to come back here to compete.”
Edwards is now aiming to one day take part in the Paralympics and is hoping to represent Great Britain in Tokyo in 2020.
