Leaders ‘Boro brush aside rivals for a magic seven
With ‘Boro having won all of their Sussex 1 games so far since relegation last season taking on a Holbrook side who have struggled so far, it looked a mismatch on paper and so it proved.
The hosts ran in ten unanswered tries with Guy Baxter (two), Tom Turner, Richard Nicholls and Fraser Oliphant-Hope among the scorers, Oliphant-Hope landing four conversions.

The Boro boys are now seven points clear at the top and looking to bounce straight back up to the London Leagues. “We’re pleased to have won seven out of seven but we have a few injuries so that will test if the squad is big enough. It’s still early days but if we get into a position to go back up we’ll be pushing for that.”
Holbrook skipper Paul Davey said: “We were missing a couple of players, myself included, and obviously Pulborough are unbeaten after coming back down last season so we knew it would be tough.
“We’ve had a tough start to the season, we’ve lost a lot of players and picked up plenty of injuries and we’ve only been able to field a second team once so far this season.

And on losing to their arch rivals at the weekend Davey added: “It’s not an easy pill to swallow losing to Pulborough so easily but we knew it would be about damage limitation.
“Hopefully we’ll turn a corner and give them more of a game when we play them again.”
