Town are in a two-horse race with Horsham for the Southern Combination League title and moved five points clear at the top with the victory.
United trailed 2-0 after just 15 minutes through goals from Nathan Crabb amd Kenny Pogue but Paul Elliott got a goal back for Mavericks five minutes before half-time.

Hide AdHowever, there was still time for Town to score twice more before the break through Jason Taylor and Crabb. Dan Rogers made it 5-1 on 62 minutes, before Town’s sixth came through a Grant Philpott own goal.
Crabb then got the seventh to complete his hat-trick 11 minutes from time.
United boss Nigel Geary said: “We got back in it at 2-1 and were in the ascendancy but then conceded two more goals before half-time and the game was all over.
“It was disappointing and our performance level needs to be better than it has been.”
