Demetriou delighted to move into Football League
Demetriou, who played for Worthing Dynamos as a youngster and then had spells with Worthing, Bognor Regis and Eastbourne Borough, joins Shrewsbury after three seasons at Kidderminster Harriers.
The 24-year-old left-back recently added to his England C caps as he started the International Trophy 1-0 defeat to Slovakia. He was also a product of the Glenn Hoddle Academy, which another ex-Rebel, Ben Williamson, now with League One Port Vale, went through.

“I’ve not had the chance to play in the Football League yet and that is the one thing I’ve wanted to do during my career.
“I spoke to the gaffer (Micky Mellon) and the assistant manager (Mike Jackson) and they want me to come here to try and improve the squad.
“I think I can help to do that and I’m now looking forward to the challenge ahead for us.
“It was a very hard decision to leave (Kidderminster) and I had a number of sleepless nights thinking about it but for the progression of my career I needed to move into the Football League.”
