“I’m as confident as ever, playing well and staying fit. I take a pride in my fitness and how I live and I want to get in to as many games in my career as possible.”
He said: “I’ve had a few arranged games and work hard keep track on on my red zone minutes every week which is your heart rate level needed to stay fit.
It might take a couple of games to get into the full swing of things but nothing to worry about as far as I’m concerned.

“We’ve got to get points whatever way possible. Everyone’s got to pull their weight and play their part as soon as possible. Once January’s gone the time flies by.
“I want to play for many more years. It’s what I’ve been doing over the last five or ten years which has given me the opportunity of playing on.
“I’d love to play comfortably until I’m 40 - you never know what can happen and you can get injured and would like to make 700 appearances (I’m on nearly 600).”
