Preston played in Reds’ last two matches while Freddie Woodman was away on international duty for England under-19s.
Woodman has now been recalled from his loan by Newcastle United following the serious injury to No.1 keeper Tim Krul which will rule him out for the rest of the season.
This leaves Reds with only one recognised ‘keeper, Preston.

Preston played well in his Crawley debut against Southend last Tuesday and Saturday’s 3-2 win against Leyton Orient which was his Football League debut.
Yates praised: “Callum’s been great. He made a magnificent save. He came for crosses, punched a couple, claimed a couple and made one great save when we needed him to at 3-1 just ten minutes into the second half.”
