Manager Mark Yates said: “We’re delighted to have Paul with us and I’d like to thank (Portsmouth manager) Paul Cook for allowing us to take him on loan.
“Young Callum Preston has made great strides this season but we need to have two good keepers at the club and Paul brings massive experience and he is a big presence in the penalty area.

This is Jones’ second spell at the club having made 105 league and cup appearances for Reds when they were in League One.
He then joined Portsmouth in 2014 and has made 45 appearances for the Fratton Park club.
The 29-year-old, who started his career at Leyton Orient and also played for Exeter City and Peterborough is an experienced keeper with 355 league appearances.
