Longman said, “I am delighted to commit my future to the club. With the head coach we have it feels that if you prove yourself he will give you the opportunity in the first team.
“Seeing boys you’ve played alongside like Aaron Connolly getting into the first team gives us the belief that there is that pathway.”

“I want to make a name for myself, to show to the manager that I am ready for the first team and regular men’s football.”

“Under-23s football is a big step-up from the under-18s. The speed of the play and everything is a big change, but working under Simon is really good.
“He is a fantastic coach to have. He’s very precise in his work and he helps you improve your technical ability.”
