FISHBOURNE
The club’s finals weekend was an enjoyable occasion.

INDOOR SCENE
The West Sussex premier team entertained Hampshire at Westergate looking to improve their position at the top of the group table and came out with a 27-13 win.

Hide AdAfter a good start, they went to to achieve a victory by 199 shots to 169.
In the singles Infinity’s Chris Page won 12-11 and drew 13-13 while club-mate Jack Rollings won 14-8 and 15-9.
In the pairs The Martlets pair of Chris Blackman and Mel Lillywhite lost 14-10 and 17-15 while the Infinity pair of Charlotte Rollings and Richard Jeffery won 16-7 and 14-10.
In the triples Crablands’ Joyce Abel won 17-9 and lost 18-9 while the Southbourne combination of Karen and Dave Alner with Antony Bull won 14-11 and lost 15-6.

Hide AdIn the fours Southbourne’s Audrey Bull, Infinity’s Steve Jeffery with Lavant’s Peter Winter and Peter Whale won 14-8 and 11-5 whilst Lavant’s Jackie Lee with Southbourne’s Robin Armstrong lost 8-6 and won 13-6.
The A team entertained Surrey and struggled to find the form of their previous games. They ended with a final loss of 24-16 and 200 shots to 193.
In the singles Bognor’s Brian Mills won 21-9 and 19-12. In the pairs Bognor’s Marlene Steel lost 15-10 and drew 13-13 while club-mate Pam Andrews won 22-10 and lost 22-4.
In the triples The Martlets’ Ian Younger with Bognor’s Gareth Morgan lost 13-9 and 15-7 while Infinity’s Denise Kirby with Crablands Mollie Back lost 14-8 and won 15-12.

Hide AdIn the fours Bognor’s Stella Singleton with Southbourne’s Andy Smith lost 11-6 and 11-9 and Southbourne’s Dave Walter, Lavant’s Terry Haigh and Bognor’s Clive Andrews won 17-6 and lost 11-9.
DONNINGTON
Donnington began the short-mat season with a friendly at home to Nyetimber.
Scores: T Taws, C Dean, C Hulbert and skip B Taylor beat T Irons, A Macleod,C Witt and skip N Plummer. Donnington 41-15; A Hulbert, A Hawley, T Haigh and skip P Skinner beat A Donaldson, S Thomson, M Hopwood and skip C Sands 17-15.
Donnington played their second friendly at home to Crablands.

NYETIMBER
The season started for Nyetimber Lions with the first match away against Walburton. It resulted in an overall win for Nyetimber who gained four points.
Scores: P Mussell, G Rump, S Thompson and J Chaplain won 21-14; T Mussell, C Searle, A Macleod and D Young lost 19-18; (friendly): S Ridgewell, E Chapman, A Booker and A Crew lost 22-15.
SOUTHBOURNE
Upper Beeding 48 Southbourne Rangers 31
Southbourne Rangers lost at Upper Beeding in county-wide division one of the West Sussex Winter League. Southbourne Rangers lost on both mats and overall by 17 shots.
