Felpham karting trio dream of McLaren F1 prize
In six sprint races at Daytona Sandown Park, Andrew O’Neill, 16, Harry Howard, 15, and Matthew Eccles, 16, earned their place in this Sunday’s national final with two firsts and a second.
They now compete against the best school and college karting teams from around the country at Milton Keynes.

Hide AdBen Phillips, assistant head at Felpham CC, said: “We’re delighted with such a fantastic result for the boys and the school.
“They’re a great team who work well together and all raced brilliantly. Having the chance to compete in this thrilling motorsport is an achievement for the students. They should be extremely proud.”
More than 600 teams entered, meaning more than 1,850 students have taken the chequered flag at karting circuits around the country.
Mark Turner, championship manager at the BSKC, said: “Winning the south regional final of the BSKC is a great achievement. We can’t wait to see them at the final.

Hide AdThe Felpham team have a chance to win the national winner’s prize of a visit to the famous McLaren Technology Centre, courtesy of Vodafone McLaren Mercedes. Here the winners will see where the F1 cars raced by Jenson Button and Hamilton are designed and manufactured.
