Sussex set to open t20 home campaign
The team’s first fixture against Kent at Canterbury on Tuesday (June 12) was washed out without a ball being bowled.
New overseas signings Scott Styris and Rusty Theron are in line to make their t20 debuts for the county, while the visitors could hand Australian Glenn Maxwell his first senior appearance after playing in the 2nd XI.

Hide AdNeil MacKenzie could also feature for the Royals after he returned to the club last week.
Both teams have strong records in the format, with four finals day appearances between them. The teams occupied the top two positions in the South group last season, but Sussex’s campaign only went one game further as Lancashire Lightning defeated the Sharks at the quarter-final stage.
Meanwhile, the hosts will be hoping to avoid a repeat of last year’s group match against Hampshire at Hove, when the visitors ran out easy winners by 112 runs.
Tickets are still on sale and can be bought by calling 0844 264 0206. The game starts at 7.10pm.
