Sadness and excitement as Trinity’s 90-year-old clubhouse is demolished
After many years of hard work, the club is building a new facility at their Victory Road Ground that will be far better suited to their needs and is sure to look a lot more attractive too.
The club’s popularity has grown year on year resulting in the clubroom often creaking at the seams with people.

Club captain Andy Petch said: “We as a committee are delighted to be able to deliver what our membership so badly needed.
“It has been fine and I might add highly-enjoyable for us longer-serving members to have propped up the bar over many decades, and I am not alone in having fond memories of various activities in the clubhouse, but this is significant positive progress.
“Our juniors deserve to have changing rooms larger than a Swan Vesta box and there will even be the possibility of getting a seat inside the building.

“We are also greatly enthused at the prospect of opening our club to a wider range of activities and members, both playing or social.
“We have been working with the English Cricket Board on widening our junior cricket programme and the new clubhouse will enable us to do this far more successfully.
“But it’s not just about cricket. Our aim is to engage with the local community, including schools and other organisations and show them what a fantastic inclusive club it is to belong to.
