Bexhill set for Norwegian invasion
While not necessarily known for their cricketing prowess, Norway are in the UK to take part in the 2013 ICC European T20 Championship Division One and have requested Bexhill to be their official warm-up fixture for the event.
Bexhill Cricket Club junior co-ordinator Hamish Russell said: “It’s a pretty big occasion for us - not often an international team of any sport comes to Bexhill so hopefully we can draw a good crowd.”

These matches will be played to full ICC World T20 regulations and come with all the thrills associated with this form of the game, including the white ball, coloured clothing, music and some fast-paced cricket.
Russell continued: “We are absolutely delighted to be hosting such a unique event, and this goes to show the progress that Bexhill Cricket Club has made on and off the playing fields over the last few years.
“We very much look forward to welcoming Norway to The Polegrove and hope to see as many local residents on the day. We are also delighted to be welcoming the mayor, the town’s MP, and other local councillors and dignitaries to The Polegrove.”
The matches are free to watch for people and families of all ages with spectators advised to begin arriving from 10.15am onwards.

There will be other forms of entertainment happening during the day, including free games for children during the breaks and fun coaching drills on the outfield.
Norway will move on from Bexhill to Horsham for the start of their 2013 ICC European T20 Championship Division One campaign against Guernsey the following day.
