Worthing school marks World Ocean Day

The children watched a specially commissioned episode of the CBBC cartoon Octonauts which explored the issue of plastic rubbish in the ocean.
The children were also visited by two associates from The British Divers Marine Life Rescue who taught them about seals, dolphins and whales in our coastal seas and showed them how to rescue them if they became stranded.

Hide AdSarah Davy, deputy head teacher, said: “We passionately believe that our children should connect with their local area by spending time at the beach and learning how to look after the sea and the marine creatures in it.
“World Ocean Day has been an exciting, fun and memorable day through which the children have learnt about their right to protect the environment.”
