Enjoy the heatwave: rain and dramatic drop in temperature on the way for Sussex
The Met Office forecast for the rest of today is for hot and humid conditions with temperatures inland hitting the low 30s degC.
The long-standing record for the county is 35.4degC which was recorded on June 26 in 1976.

Hide AdWarnings have gone out for commuters to take bottled water with them and for pet owners to take extra care, with temperatures expecting to peak at around 4-5pm.
However, tomorrow is set to be overcast with heavy thundery showers moving across the county.
The day may well finish off with a return to sunshine, though.
Temperatures are likely to drop by ten degrees for the rest of the week.
