UPDATE: Police warn motorists on A27 after lorry crash

Officers were called to the A259 Bognor Road at around 2.30am.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “A lorry carrying fresh produce collided with a garden wall, spilling its load of asparagus.”

Hide AdThe driver was taken to St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester but was not seriously injured.
The A259 is currently closed between the Bognor Road roundabout and Florence Road.
The lorry will be escorted to Shoreham this morning at 9.30am which may cause further delays along the A27, police said.
No arrests have been made and it is not known when the A259 will reopen.
