TRAVEL NEWS: Motorists face gridlock following '˜serious accident' on A27
The eastbound side still remains closed and Highways England says drivers should expect delays of 30 minutes.
Stand still traffic has also been reported on the A259.

Hide AdEmergency services were called out to the scene at 6.05am this morning (February 9), where it was reported that a car and a pedestrian had been in collision in lane one eastbound between the A2025 Manor Road, Lancing and Old Shoreham Road, Coombes, police said.
According to police, the location was given as 500 metres east of the Lancing Manor roundabout and led to the A27 being closed to eastbound traffic between the roundabout and the A283 Steyning interchange.
The pedestrian, a man, sustained critical injuries, police confirmed.
The Kent, Surrey and Sussex air ambulance flew to the scene, police said.
