UPDATE: Horsham's Worthing Road to re-open
Worthing Road, which links Horsham town centre with the A24, was the scene of an all-night operation where 25 firefighters cleared two million litres of flood water after heavy rain on Monday January 6.
As crews from West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were getting ready to re-open the road, a six metre culvert collapse was discovered.
This has to be replaced.

Hide AdA spokesperson for West Sussex County Council said: “The culvert is very old and neither West Sussex County Council, nor Horsham District Council, knew it existed before its discovery this week.
“West Sussex County Council’s contractor Balfour Beatty is working throughout the weekend to try and shorten the length of time the road will be shut for.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused but there is no other way round solving this problem.”
