Students catapult aheadin setting up business
They were challenged to set up a company selling confectionery for enterprise week.
Five business volunteers acted as observers as the five groups of 8-10 sixth formers used an allocated budget to get their individual companies up and running.

Hide AdThe activity followed the same theme as The Apprentice TV show. Mary Holder, of the Bognor education business partnership, said: 'Students needed to design a logo, strap line and packaging as well as consider how they would market their products.'
Forming the sweet companies was just one of the challenges which faced hundreds of students aged from 13 upwards throughout the college.
Female students enjoyed a suited and booted session about women in business. Pupils of both sexes designed catapults, set up pier stalls and made cards for marketing.
Problem solving activities with the Enterprise Store gave them plenty to think about as well.
