Hide AdDr Kepa Artaraz, principal lecturer in the school, said: “The theme of the challenge is ‘sleep rough so that others don’t have to’. It is a great cause and my students are passionate about taking part and helping the homeless. I hope others will feel the same and donate.”
YMCA Downslink Group supports more than 10,000 children, young people and families across Sussex and Surrey each year.
The charity has warned volunteers: “It won’t be warm and it won’t be comfortable, but we know that the money we raise will make a huge difference to many young people.”
Last year the campaign raised £24,000 and this year the charity hopes to reach £50,000.
