A UNIQUE purple Rolls-Royce will be touring the UK for eight months to support children’s hospice services.

The Rolls Rally was launched at Goodwood Motor Circuit, near Chichester, on Sunday.

It will link local children’s hospice Chestnut Tree House and national children’s charity Together for Short Lives to raise awareness and vital funds for children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

The vehicle made a special appearance at Goodwood’s popular Breakfast Club meeting on Sunday, being located in prime position at the start of the pit wall, and then a lap of the famous circuit was completed.

Lorna Gray, corporate fundraiser at Together for Short Lives, said: “During the next eight months, children’s hospice and palliative care services, including Chestnut Tree House, will use their time with the car to raise local awareness of the campaign and raise vital funds for the children and families that they support.”

Simon Cowell, Together for Short Lives’ patron, handed Barbara Gelb, the charity’s chief executive, the keys to the luxurious and unique Purple Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II, on behalf of Rolls-Royce.
