Rogate Christmas fayre raises thousands for good causes

The event raised more than £3,400 to be shared out among Stone Pillow, the Barnabas Fund and the Parish Emergency Fund.
People were queuing at the door of Rogate Village Hall before 10am, eager to get in to buy the exciting goods on offer.

Hide AdThe food stall was groaning under the weight of delicious homemade products while the ‘P’ stall was full of items beginning with ‘p’ and the toy stall had treasures to delight youngsters.
There were also craft activities, a stall displaying knitted articles made by talented residents and one of the most popular stalls - the bottle tombola.
Father Christmas arrived with his elf and was greeted by cheering and applause before being visited in his grotto by dozens of excited children.
Hot drinks, mince pies and lunches were provided by a hard-working team in the kitchen and visitors enjoyed sitting and having a chat over food and drink.

Hide AdThe team also organised a raffle, collecting prizes generously donated by local businesses.
