Pump up the tyres for London ride
The Trust’s fundraising manager, Maria Gonet says it is a fantastic event. “It offers a traffic-free ride,” she said. “Riders start in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, then follow a 100 mile route through London to Surrey’s stunning country roads and hills before returning to the capital to finish in spectacular style on The Mall in front of Buckingham Palace.”
The event is described as having leg-testing climbs along a route made famous by the world’s finest cyclists at the London 2012 Olympics, and a truly spectacular event for all involved. Participants must be able to complete the cycle in 9 hours and cycle safely in a large group of cyclists. There are some restrictions on the type of bicycle that can be use. The Trust has a limited number of places available for the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 for a fundraising commitment of £400.
