The hotel chain says it is working with the building’s developers and landlord to determine what caused the collapse during the high winds from Storm Imogen.
The wall, which was built in 2014 as part of an extension to the former Co-operative building in Terminus Road, collapsed at around 4pm on Monday, February 9.

“Incidents such as this are extremely rare. The safety of our guests and team are of paramount importance to us and we only work with partners who deliver quality hotels and work to the highest industry standards.
“Work to rebuild the wall is still in progress through our landlord’s insurers and should be completed in the near future.”
