Pre-school celebrates as manager marks 20 years in charge

Maria told the County Times that it had been a ‘brilliant’ celebration.
“It was really nice,” she said. “It had to include the children, because that’s what it’s all about. It was lovely.”

Hide AdAs well as the teddy bears’ picnic, party food, and a birthday cake, they had a magic Malteser tree and a visit from Chris North, a performer from Freedom Through Fun, who entertained the children with music, puppets and magic.
“He’s a brilliant entertainer - he was very very good,” said Maria.
In the 20 years since Maria took over, Browns Lane has gone from being a simple playgroup to being a fully-fledged pre-school, running eight sessions a week to prepare children aged two to five for primary school.
The facility was rated ‘outstanding’ in a recent Ofsted report.
