PICTURES: Is this the future of Littlehampton seafront?
Arun District Council is inviting feedback on designs to make better use of the seafront greens, promenade and links to the town centre.
The proposals, by LDA Design, follow similar concepts to spruce-up the town centre which were backed by councillors last year.

Among the ideas is creating a coach drop-off area in replacement of the Banjo Road car park, reducing Pier Road to a single carriageway to allow more outside space for cafés and a pine grove with BBQ and picnic facilities.
New concessions, coastal gardens and an ‘active hub’ featuring attractions like a splash pad are also ideas.
LDA Design was responsible for crafting the regeneration of the town’s east bank and also put together the town centre plans.

An exhibition will also take place on March 23, 24 and 25 at the Look and Sea Centre, in Surrey Street, between 11am and 3pm. Members of the design team will be on hand to answer questions.
The plans can be viewed on the Gazette’s website and more details and feedback can be sent to Arun by visiting www.arun.gov.uk/regeneration-in-littlehampton
The designs are concepts and can be altered.
