Findon Sheep Fair and Village Festival took place on Saturday, and included a variety of stalls and events.
Unsurprisingly, the highlight of the day was the sheep show, which organiser Simon Stace said went down well with onlookers.

“There were about 100 people crowded around watching it, which I found quite amusing.”
Simon said that despite the bad weather, people still got behind the event.
“When you’re setting up first thing in the morning and you see the grey clouds overhead it isn’t great, but we had a huge amount of people turn up and they had a good day. It was the usual British spirit of ‘let’s get on with it’.”

Simon said: “We have a huge amount of people walking through the village.
“Hopefully people have had a look around and liked the feel of the village, and will want to come back.”
Head judge of the sheep show Bob Coleman said: “I know people who judge and compete around the country, and all say that Findon Sheep Show ranks first in their list of shows. This is only achieved by careful planning and sheer hard work, especially on the day. Congratulations to the committee and volunteers for yet another amazing show.”
