The event was held at the Cricket Pavilion in Petworth Park with great support from local businesses including Meghdoots Mystique Masala, who provided a delicious curry supper.
The Angel Inn and The Star Pub in Petworth also contributed to the success of the event by generously supporting ticket sales and the prize draw.

Hide AdThis event follows on from the success of the Petworth Park Cricket Club Junior Summer Sessions this August, which saw more than 60 five to 11 year olds from the local area attend a series of free coaching events on Saturday mornings with an experienced and qualified Junior coach from the Sussex Cricket Foundation at the newly revived Petworth Park Cricket ground.
With support from The Hungry Guest in providing refreshments, this latest fundraiser has been a major boost for the club reaching maximum numbers of support.
As a result, Revive Cricket in Petworth Park is going from strength to strength.
Jennie Thorpe, junior cricket co-ordinator for the club, said: “We are so pleased - the event was such a success.

“With everyone’s support we are bringing cricket back to Petworth Park!”
The event took place on Saturday, November 26, starting at 7.30pm.
Cricket in Petworth Park has a history dating back to the early 1800s, with five recorded first class matches in the 1840’s when Petworth Cricket Club was a major team. A group of locals are now coming together to revive cricket in Petworth Park.
