Roberto Cruz Ramirez, 28, and Sean Geall, 32, were highly praised for their work at Zachary Merton Hospital in Rustington for Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.
They have been nominated by a physiotherapy student at the University of Winchester, which wants to recognise high-quality coaching, teaching, mentorship, clinical supervision, leadership and development given to students on work placements.

“As teachers, they were able to explain to myself and another student with ease, their confidence gave us confidence and made us more comfortable to get stuck into the job.
“They took the time to show us what we can improve on and gave constructive feedback to us throughout - brilliant physiotherapists and brilliant men.”
The pair will find out the results at an awards ceremony in the summer.

He said: “I feel really thrilled about this nomination. It was something completely unexpected and it obviously feels great to have some recognition for the job we’ve done with the students during these difficult times.
“To be fair, we were very lucky to have such great students, who made our jobs much easier.”
Sean, who lives in Goring, had worked for the trust previously and re-joined just over a year ago.
