Wacky hair challenge to support sick and vulnerable children launched by Horsham charity
Whether it be a Beatles do, a comb-over style or growing your hair into an 80s mullet, Action Medical Research is hoping its ‘Locksdown Challenge’ will get people having fun while raising money at the same time.
The charity is also urging those taking part to share pictures of their hair on social while nominating a friend to do the same.

Hide AdLewis Coghlin, Action’s director of fundraising, said: “The idea is to get involved and have fun in these strange times and do something which will help Action continue to fund medical research for sick babies and children.
“Every pound raised really could make a difference in our fight for tiny lives.”
There are two ways to get involved.
Firstly, supporters can create an instantly ‘wacky’ hairstyle by creatively using of hair bands and/or hair gel, take a selfie and share it on social media with the tag @actionmedres
They can nominate a friend by tagging them too, and each time texting HAIR to 70450 will donate £3* to donate.

By creating a Facebook fundraiser for Action Medical Research, those taking part could chart their progress and show their friends and family how the ‘do’ is doing.
There’s plenty of tips and advice on the Action website https://action.org.uk/support-us/locksdown
