The ex-Royal Scots Dragoon Guards major is raising money for St Wilfrid's Hospice by rowing his homemade boat the 'Tintanic' along Chichester Canal.
He has so far raised more than £30,000 — a milestone high above his original £5,000 target.

Having sailed the Bahamas, Indonesia and travelled the world in between, Mick’s 100-mile ‘Tintanic’ challenge for St Wilfrid’s Hospice is the latest in a long line of exploits they have shared.
The 80-year-old retired said: “It’s been a glorious adventure these past 50 years together, I loved every minute of it and long may it continue”.
Mick has about 30 miles left to row until his challenge is completed.
