Parking free-for-all in Eastbourne to end this week
Seaside, Seaside Road, Trinity Trees and parts of Eastbourne seafront have been left with out zebra crossings, yellow lines and other road markings after being resurfaced up to four weeks ago.
There have been calls on social media for East Sussex Highways to get the road markings reinstated as soon as possible due to concerns over accidents and irresponsible parking.

A spokesperson at East Sussex Highways said on Monday, “We plan to start lining work at Trinity Trees and Seaside this week.
“Unfortunately, we have been unable to carry out the work as quickly as we would have liked due to motorists ignoring signs and no parking cones.
“We would urge all motorists to check for signs before leaving their vehicle in these areas.”
