We don’t count
Despite the many objections to proposals to develop the Roundstone Lane area, the planning officer intends to go ahead with meeting developers.
It beggars belief and shows that, as far as officers of the council are concerned, we, the public, do not count.

Hide AdThey would rather their pet scheme of ‘Garden Villages and Communities’ be endorsed by developers, than consider the views of the public.
In case they haven’t noticed, we already have a garden village and developed community without their ‘help’.
That which has taken years to build will be destroyed if development of Roundstone Lane takes place.
I understand Councillor Bower’s statement about having no local plan.

Hide AdI also attended the full council meeting when officers from the planning department warned that the district may be subjected to multiple planning applications because there is no local plan.
It occurs to me that the meeting with developers may have been manipulated in order for planning officers to be able to say ‘We told you so’.
I have lost all faith!
