Students awarded for musical achievements
The students were awarded West Sussex Music certificates at a presentation ceremony hosted by Collyer’s principal, Sally Bromley.
The four students selected to represent West Sussex are: Laurence Cuttriss, Thea Elvin, Erica Morley and Nicholas Skouros.

Hide AdLaurence Cuttriss said: “Thank you to the orchestra for all your help! It has been a great 6 years.”
Thea Elvin was delighted: “I have been playing the Cello for 10 years, it has been hard work but it has definitely been worth it! I’d like to thank the teachers at Collyer’s for their support.”
Erica Morley said: “Thank you to my teachers and Adam Barker- our conductor. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here!”
Nicholas Skouros added: “It has been a great experience and I am honoured to be here!”

Hide AdThe award ceremony also featured superb musical performances by fellow student musicians Nori Hung and Emily Batchelor.
Dan Page, the subject leader for music and music technology at Collyer’s was thrilled: “What a fantastic achievement! I am incredibly proud of these students. It has been a genuine honour to teach all of them and I know that they will be honoured to represent West Sussex!”
After presenting the musicians with their West Sussex Music award certificates, Collyer’s Principal Sally Bromley said: “I am humbled by the musical talent at Collyer’s and it is a pleasure to join these gifted students as they celebrate their selection for the West Sussex County Orchestra.”
