Splendid display at spring show
The judges all agreed that the high standard of entries was as expected from Southwater. The flower judge said it was a delight and he always enjoys coming to Southwater shows.
He had an extra surprise for one exhibitor, Laurie Apted, namely The Surrey Guild of Judges and Lecturers Special Merit Award. This award is in the gift of the judge and is given at his discretion; it was for a vase of beautiful tulips – high praise indeed!
