Recycle your poppy with Sainsbury’s
The Royal British Legion is the UK’s leading Armed Forces charity providing practical, emotional and financial support to all members of the British Armed Forces past and present and their families – all year round.
For the last 19 years, Sainsbury’s has been a supporter of The Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal. Last year, our customers and colleagues raised £3.5 million for the Poppy Appeal and this year, we are hoping to have raised even more. There have been many ways to support this year’s Poppy Appeal, which included:

Hide AdTen per cent donation to The Royal British Legion on a number of poppy inspired products, including the by Sainsbury’s Red Poppy Mug, Taste the Difference Gruyere and Poppy Seed Twists, Taste the Diiference Poppy Seed Bloomer, Lemon and Poppy Seed Muffins in our cafés and a Poppy Pocket Field Garden.
Customers could also choose to make a donation by rounding up their bill at the checkout (to the nearest pound), with the difference donated to The Royal British Legion. Volunteers from the Legion have also been in-store between 28 October and 11 November.
