Dear Mr Cameron
The Parish Council is writing to seek your support for the campaign being led by Cranleigh Parish Council under the Sustainable Communities Act 2007 for exemption of non-domestic rates for public toilets.
Billingshurst Parish Council provides public toilets in the village of Billingshurst at a cost of £7,870 per annum of which £1,200 is paid to Horsham District Council for non-domestic business rates.

This parish council has listed the Billingshurst public toilets as an asset of community value as it is an important village amenity for everyone and necessary to encourage shoppers and tourists to use our village centre to support our economy. Please will you recommend to Parliament that public toilets are exempt from non-domestic business rates?
BEVERLEY BELL
Clerk, on behalf of Billingshurst Parish Council, Roman Way, Billingshurst
