LETTER: Don’t be put off
Noise pollution can be a serious intrusion into people’s lives and can harm people’s health and wellbeing.
When sound levels are so high that they penetrate closed, double-glazed houses more than a mile away from the source – complaints were received from Southwick and beyond – we do have a very significant noise pollution issue.

Hide AdMusic festivals are great and nobody wants to curb people’s enjoyment of them, but these events don’t have to be held so close to residential areas.
If you thought the noise spillage from this event was unreasonable, don’t be put off saying so.
Tell your local councillor and the council’s environmental services department so that the views they receive represent a fair balance of opinions.
