Butterfly Garden Project
The project was a child centred learning scheme which was run by Key Stage 1 children aged between 4 and 7 years old. The children designed a beautiful garden from recycled tyres and planted some wild flowers which were donated from the Rotary Club and parents of the school.
The children researched different types of flowers that would encourage butterflies and bees into their garden. They hatched five beautiful Painted Ladies and had great fun releasing them into their wild garden. Congratulations to all the children who were involved.
The project was judged by Nigel Waite from Newbridge Nurseries who kindly donated £25 vouchers to William Penn School.
