A fitting tribute to all who gave their lives
MY GRANDFATHER, Arch Elliott, was at The Somme in the First World War.
He was a 2nd Lieut with The Royal City of London Fusiliers.
We have a book at home about the Fusiliers in The Great War.
His name is in the book and it tells you about the different battles.
In fact, I was a Bandsmen with 3 Queens.

Hide AdWe would always be on parade for Remembrance Day, it would normally be quite cold as well.
I went to the Armistice Day Parade outside Battle Abbey.
The High Street came to a stand still for two minutes.
A fitting tribute to all the men and women who have given their lives for this great country.
