LETTER: This is 2016 '“ not the 1800s
If it’s such an important issue why not condemn all the eye-level structures not conforming at present and adorning the fronts of many along our seafront. The council’s own property is worth a look , the restored kiosk in the Redoubt garden has been left to rot away. Also the powder-coated glazed frames when you continue to the Pavilion are not exactly in keeping but are probably conveniently just outside the conservation area. This issue is absolutely ridiculous. If the hotels are to flourish they need to move with the times. This is 2016 not the 1800s.
