LETTER: Thanks to Good Samaritan
A passer-by had managed to cover him with a coat, found something to pillow his head, and was tending to the bleeding. I asked if I could help but was told an ambulance had been called.
I returned 45 minutes later and they were still there. This time I was able to take them a glass of water. It was interesting to see just in those few minutes how many people crossed the road to avoid the scene. The ambulance arrived soon afterwards.

Hide AdI would like to thank the ‘Good Samaritan’ who looked after this man. Even though he was on his way to somewhere else and had things to do, he put a stranger first and stayed with him. I hope that he made it to his bowls tournament for 2pm!
At this time of year, when we all seem to be busy rushing around, it was a timely reminder for me that sometimes things just have to stop, and someone else has to take priority.
