This involved helping nearly 400 people with prescription medicines and advice, which included telephoning doctors for medical advice. His post pointed out that the government’s intention to cut funding to community pharmacies would endanger the survival of as many as 3,000 of them.
This government has been too swift in making cuts to parts of the NHS whilst preening themselves over the increased funding they are supposedly giving to the service. This government has disappointed me enormously with its fetish with cutting help for vulnerable people. The primary aim appears to be saving money instead of saving lives.
