LETTER: I'd pay more to stop such fibs
I counted up to six people in shop doorways and church porches on Christmas Day evening . They certainly were not there for the money.
Soon afterwards a pretty face asked me for a pound for a bus fare. Later, in the dark, she did not recognise me and asked again, this time a pound for a train fare. It made me think, afterwards. I would rather give her £5 and ask her to stop telling stories.
