CHIPPER: I’ve had my fill of yummy pancakes
Last week, I told you about what I had planned for it, but I forgot something. Something I was very excited about. Pancakes!
Oh how I love pancakes. How could I have forgotten about Pancake Day?

Hide AdPancake Day is the last day before the period which Christians call Lent and is also known as Shrove Tuesday. Lent is a time of abstinence, which means giving things up. So Shrove Tuesday is the last chance for Christians to eat as much as they want and to use up the foods that aren’t allowed in Lent. Pancakes are eaten on this day because they contain fat, butter and eggs which weren’t allowed during Lent.
Pancakes are wonderful and I decided to try different toppings and flavours on mine. First, I had one with lemon juice and a bit of sugar then rolled it up into a tube. The classic choice. My mum and dad said it was their favourite and that it’s what they had when they were just young pups.
That must have been a really really long time ago!
Then, I had one with some chocolate spread. Delicious although it was very filling.
The third one I had with some strawberry jam.
That was really sweet and very sticky. I got jam all over my paws!

I think my favourite was the lemon and sugar. Simple and effective.
How did you eat yours?
Chip chip, for now!
