Nursery closure leaves worried parents in limbo
Squirrels Nursery, in Lyndhurst Road, Worthing, will close its doors on December 31, forcing parents to search for alternative childcare before the new year.
The nursery, which is run by Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, was formed in 1990 to help NHS staff find affordable, flexible childcare close to the hospital. The trust estimates that it would need to spend £112,000 in the next year to keep the nursery open.
